Booking

Bookings shall be made in writing to sleep@midgard.is, by post or through our booking channel. Please include all necessary details for us to ensure maximum efficiency. We will confirm your booking within one business day.

For group bookings, a status list must be sent 8 weeks prior to arrival and a confirmed name list must be sent 4 weeks prior to arrival.

Terms of Payment

Individual Policy (1 – 9 people): Midgard will issue an invoice for the full amount on the date of arrival.

Group Policy (10 people or more): we reserve the right to charge a 30% deposit at the time of booking to confirm the reservation. Full payment must be paid at least 4 weeks prior to arrival, or upon confirmation if booked within 4 weeks of arrival. In the event that the payment is delayed, Midgard reserves the right to cancel the booking and withdraw its confirmation of services.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be sent in writing to Midgard and are only valid if confirmed in writing by Midgard. In accordance with standard practices of the Icelandic travel industry, the following cancellation fees apply:

Notice of cancellation – Individuals (1 – 9 people):

Less than 24 hours prior to arrival or no-show: 100% of the value of the first night of your reservation.

In the event of a no-show the remainder of your reservation will be cancelled automatically.

In the event of a no-show without cancellation, Midgard has the right to charge your credit card for the first night’s stay, or for the full price of the tour or other non-accommodation.

Notice of cancellation – Groups (10 or More):

Less than four weeks prior to arrival: 50%

Less than 1 week prior to arrival: 100%

Other

Midgard reserves the right to modify its rates for economic purposes, such as currency fluctuations, inflation, or an increase in supplier costs. Any changes in rates will not retroactively affect bookings that have already been confirmed by Midgard.

In the event that Midgard, under exceptional circumstances, is unable to provide the client with the agreed rooms on arrival, Midgard shall locate another room of equal or superior quality at no extra charge. This shall be done only with the agreement of the client.

All parties agree that the venue and jurisdiction regarding any matter related to these terms and conditions shall be where Midgard is located, and the laws of Iceland shall govern.

Check-out time: 08:00 – 10:00 (or earlier if all paid the night before)
